First, I'm posting this as a member of a small corp of casual players (High Sec Carebear if you prefer)
I was trilled by the addition of WormSpace (WS), and the new scanning mechanics. I went to WS on patch day, got some real fun and some good PVE fights. My Corp mate and I where scanning for some WormHole (WH) almost daily... Then came the grinding...
This is my anwser to those (CCP alike) that want to know why the T3 componant demand is not met by casual players (Like us)...
1- The mass restriction on WH is to low for lvl 1-3 WH. I dont know if something changed, but we use to bring two BattleShip in lvl2-3 WH, with 2-3 frigates-to-BattleCruisers size ships... But after a while/patch, we would end up always collapsing the WH, due to mass... So we change tactics, use BC size ships or smaller (increasing the time required to Kill the Sleepers).. But again, these days we would often collapse the WH on first entry.. Last night, we ended-up collapsing a WH with a BC, from "Not significantly" reduce mass, to completely close, with 1 BC?? This is a major pain for a group of people looking for an hour or two of fun as a group!
2- WS is very populated... And dont tell me to "...Explore deeper Blah Blah..." I already told ya! I'm a casual player, anwsering why I'm not Exploring WS more... When near 50% of the WH you find (from High sec) lead to a depleted WS with POS, its not very interesting from my point of view. BUT, that would'nt be a problem if the other 50% didnt had problem no.1...
So, in short: -I'm not agaisnt POS in WS, might actually get one myself in the future (But we need to increase the ratio of empty system by some way!) -Increase the mass limitation on WH, and you will see more casual players out there.. Me and my Corp mate will anyway! -Of course, just like missions runner, casual players could be the key into stabilizing the T3 market.. (Unless you all want it to stay in those prices) -I understand the Risk vs Reward... But its a game, and in my book, the FUN Vs "my Time spent" IS the only thing that really matter!
